Daniel Chimowitz is an internationally renowned artist and fashion designer. He creates walking canvases of painted images on hand-sewn as well as up-cycled clothing, essentially combining fine art with the excitement of the fashion industry. Chimowitz has lived in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Miami, and worked with famed designer Patricia Field. These experiences helped form his style, palettes and design. In his textiles, colors are combined with the punk DIY fashion of London, studs from Spain, and simplistic triangles and circles of the Tlingit. While working on this exhibition, Daniel was inspired to research his own Jewish heritage.
