Jewish Food Walking Tour, July 6
In conjunction with its Growers, Grocers & Gefilte Fish exhibit, Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU is proud to host a Walking Food Tour! Learn the history of the SoFi neighborhood and the staple Jewish-owned restaurants in the area past and present, including tastings from places such as My Ceviche, Aroma Espresso Bar, Pita Loca, and of course key lime pie from Joe’s Stone Crab Restaurant. You’ll also hear about historic Jewish businesses and restaurants, including the Nemo Hotel, Goldstein & Gilbert’s, Famous and Friedman’s. This Walking Food Tour will be an exciting adventure for locals and visitors alike – and your taste buds will thank you!
Advance reservations are required. 20 people max per tour. No refunds. Tours go on, rain or shine. The Jewish Food Walking Tour will last approximately 2-3 hours. Tour distance is approximately 2 miles. All ages and fitness levels are welcome. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing!
